Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a material having the same thermoplasticity as a thermoplastic resin by heating a protein.
CONSTITUTION: This material is obtained by heating a protein at a temp. exceeding 100°C in the presence of water and/or an organic polyhydroxy compound in a closed system. It has a shear modulus in storage (G') of 1×104 to 1×109Pa.
