To provide a thermosensitive recording body excellent in water resistance, resistance to sticking, water resistance blocking property and chemical resistance.

In the thermosensitive recording body comprising a thermosensitive recording layer including a leuco dye, a colorant and an adhesive on a support, a core-shell type emulsion is included as the adhesive under the condition that the shell phase of the core-shell type emulsion is a stylene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer, which is used as the emulsifier of a monomer forming a core phase through polymerization. Further, the glass transition temperatures (Tg) and the molecular weights of the core phase and of the shell phase preferably lie within specified ranges.
