PURPOSE: To obtain a composition desirable as a hot melt a adhesive from a thermosetting aminoamide resin obtained by effecting the Michael addition reaction of an aminoamide thermoplastic polymer with an acrylate-group- containing polyol ester in a specified ratio and a heat-decomposable initiator.
CONSTITUTION: This composition is obtained by adding desirably 0.02-2% heat- decomposable initiator (desirably dicumyl peroxide) to a thermosetting aminoamide resin obtained by mixing an aminoamide thermoplastic polymer (desirably one derived from a polymerized unsaturated fatty acid and having an amine value of 3-40) with a polyol ester having a plurality of acrylate groups (desirably polyol ester triacrylate) in such a mixing ratio that the initial ratio of the acrylate groups of the polyol ester to the amino functional groups of the aminoamide polymer is 0.5-8.0 and effecting the Michael addition reaction of the resulting mixture by heating.
