Abstract:
To provide a thin communication device equipped with a directional antenna.SOLUTION: A thin communication device includes a board 1, a transmission antenna unit 2 disposed on the board 1, and a metal foil 5 disposed on the board 1 and disposed so as to cover the entire transmission antenna unit 2. The transmission antenna unit 2 typically transmits a beacon signal using radio waves. In order to exhibit a radio wave shielding effect, it is preferable for the transmission antenna unit 2 that the transmission antenna unit 2 is positioned near the center of the metal foil 5 when the plane of the board 1 is viewed from above. It is preferable that the board 1 is mounted with components on one side and the metal foil 5 is disposed on the other side of the board 1 on which components are not mounted. It is preferable that the metal foil 5 is a metal thin film deposited on an organic film.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
