Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form any multiphase alternating voltage source from a symmetrical three-phase voltage source, wherein voltage value adjustment resulting from phase adjustment is unnecessary and the amount of phase can be continuously adjusted.
SOLUTION: Circular single-phase transformers T1, T2, T3 that have a toroidal core Δ-Y-connected around a main shaft S1 arranged in parallel with a sub-shaft S2, are placed on top of one another. Three sets of α-corresponding sliding terminals 2 and β-corresponding sliding terminals 3, which are in contact with the secondary winding side of each of the single-phase transformers T1, T2, T3, are installed on the main shaft S1. The α-corresponding sliding terminals 2 are fixed on the main shaft S1 through arms 4, and the β-corresponding sliding terminals 3 are fixed on main shaft gears 6, freely fit on the main shaft S1, through arms 5. A handle 7 for rotating the main shaft S1 and a transmission pulley 8 that transmits the rotation of the main shaft S1 to the sub-shaft S2, are fixed on the man shaft S1. A cam 9 and a sub-shaft gear 10 to be engaged with the main shaft gear 6, are fixed on the sub-shaft S2 to form a three-phase phase adjuster. The three-phase phase adjusters are combined to obtain any 6n-phase alternating voltage.
