CONSTITUTION: Slide blocks 56a, 56b are a attached by pins 63a, 63b pivotably and freely rotatably to the projecting parts 60a, 60b on the inlet side (a) and the outlet side (b) of a roll chock 52 bearing a work roll 51. Flames 66a, 66b are inserted into guide grooves 59a, 59b on the inlet side (a) and outlet side (b) of a housing movably in the direction orthogonally crossed with the roll shaft direction. Guide blocks 55a, 55b are inserted into the guide grooves 68a, 68b of guide plates 67a, 67b movably in the direction of the roll shaft and supported by the frames 66a, 66b through hydraulic cylinders 71a, 71b in the direction of the roll shaft. A switching valve 73 is switched and controlled by rod position detectors 72a, 72b fitted to the rod side of each hydraulic cylinder 71a, 71b.
