Title:
TILT MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3258451
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stably fix a display board of a computer at a desired position when the board is foldably supported by a main body thereof by providing a ring-shaped bush of resin at a supporting part to sufficiently generate frictional forces.
CONSTITUTION: If a display board 3 is opened or closed with respect to a main body 2, a movable axis 5 rotates together with the board 3, and a washer 6 also rotates therewith. Next, since the washer 6 is in surface contact with a bush 7, frictional forces are generated between the bush 7, and the washer 6 and a fixed bracket 4. And between the bracket 4 and a fixed flange 9 also, frictional forces are generated between the bush 7, and the bracket 4 and flange 9. Further, since an interference fit is provided between a bearing B and the axis 5, suitable rotational torque is always produced. As a result, the display board 3 can be fixed precisely and stably at a predetermined position, and supporting area is wide, so that external forces can be dispersed, and miniaturization can be achieved.
