PURPOSE: To obtain a product excellent in appearance and to facilitate the correspondence to the alteration of a design by forming a mold from a plurality of segments composed of blocks supporting a plurality of pieces and allowing the protruding parts of the pieces to correspond to the groove parts of the tread part of a product tire and setting at least one of the fixing parts of each of the protruding parts of the pieces to a complementary shape with respect to each of land parts.

CONSTITUTION: Segments 22 forming a mold 24 are composed of blocks 24 each having a plurality of pieces 26 mounted thereon. A plurality of recessed parts 30 having a complementary shape with respect to the land parts in the peripheral direction of a tire are formed to each block 24 and fitting grooves 34a, 34b are provided to the parts corresponding to the central part and shoulder parts of a tread part. Each of the pieces 26 is equipped with a protruding body 40 having protruding parts 36a, 36b, 38a, 38b having a complementary shape with respect to the grooves of the tread part of the tire. Fixing parts 42, 44 are provided to both ends of the protruding body 40 to be fitted in the fitting grooves 34a, 34b and formed into a complementary shape with respect to the land parts of the tire on the side of the shoulder parts. By this constitution, a fitting part is positioned at a place easy to generate air bubbles or running and air bubbles can be more surely discharged.
