PURPOSE: To enable to perform stamping on a bunch of multiple sheets of paper and on a single sheet of paper at the same stamping pressure, by a method wherein a disk is pushed up by an upper end part of a link, and a type wheel is moved upward by a compression spring through an arm.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of stamping by a type wheel at point A, the disks 13, 13 of the arms 7, 7 are stopped at point P1. In the case of stamping by the type wheel 8 at a point B, the disks 13, 13 of the arms 7, 7 are stopped at a point P2. Both when the type wheel 8 is stopped at point P1 and when it is stopped at point P2, the links 6, 6 are moved downward while escaping rightward from the outside peripheries of the disks 13, 13. The extending ratio of the compression springs 16, 16 intermediately provided between the links 6, 6 and the arms 7, 7 is the same at point Q1 and at point Q2 of the arm fitting part, so that the force exerted when the links 6, 6 escape from the disks 13, 13 is the same at point P1 and at point P2. Accordingly, if the force of the springs 16, 16 is assumed to be the stamping pressure, the stamping pressures at positions between P1 and P2 are the same.
