Abstract:
PURPOSE:To promptly restore a fault by discriminating an updated history data to be used for data base restoration based on an identifier to preserve a sequence relation in time at every time point, selecting the reflecting method of the updated history data to the copied data, and executing a fault restoring processing. CONSTITUTION:An area table to have collected control information for one area of the data base stored in an area table file 110 has a backup completing time 203, re-editing starting time 206, and a re-editing completing time 207 by an identifier 210 at the backup starting time point. When the data base fault is restored, updated history data 402 to be used for the data base restoration are discriminated based on the identifier to preserve the sequence relation in time at each time point at every area to be an object, the reflecting method of the updated history data 402 to the copied data is selected, and the fault restoring processing is executed. Thus, a load to a data base system service manager can be decreased, and the fault can be promptly restored.
