Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an AC input switch power supply in which the duty ratio of switch element can be set freely at high power factor for the input and output voltage ratio through a simple constitution comprising a set of switch element and control circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A series circuit of an inductor 21 having a center tap and a switch element 24 is connected between the output terminals of a full-wave rectifier 16 connected with an AC power supply 15. A control circuit feeds power from the center tap of the inductor through a rectifying/smoothing circuit 25 to a load 28 and, at the same time, detects the output voltage of the rectifying/smoothing circuit 25 and turns the switch element 24 ON/OFF to produce a predetermined voltage.
