PURPOSE: To make the device in small size and thereby provide possibility of works at site by by performing the machining while controlling automatically the attitude of the machine body with respect to the reference surface for processing and while permitting the machine to travel by himself on the work to be machined.
CONSTITUTION: A steel roll 16, which is elevated and sunk by a servo motor 25 with the aid of a ball and screw jack 19, is installed at the lower part of the machine body 10 as well as a linear motor 35 and an electromagnet 36 are furnished. The attitude control of the machine body 10 is made by adjusting the action of said servo motor using a processing reference beam generator 29 such as a laser gun to sense the reference surface for processing, a sensor consisting of processing surface indicator 30, auto collimator 32 and a sensor consisting of reflector 33 with the aid of correctors 31, 34. The work of the machine body is performed under usual NC control.
