PURPOSE: To provide a multicolor image forming device in which trouble caused by fixing with a heat roller is eliminated and the light transmissivity of color toner is improved and which is excellent in color reproducibility.

CONSTITUTION: Image forming units UN-B, UN-C, UN-M and UN-Y consisting of a photoreceptor 2, an electrostatic charging device 3 uniformly electrostatically charging the photoreceptor 2, a latent image forming device 4 forming an electrostatic latent image by performing optical write to the photoreceptor 2, a developing device 5 developing the electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 2 with dry toner, and a transfer device 6 transferring the toner image on a carried transfer body are provided for every color. A fixing means 9 fixing the toner image on the transfer body by applying pressure to both sides of the transfer body is installed at a position in the poststage of the final unit UN-Y.
