Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily check visually the wound quantity of a tape in a tape cassette, by arranging a brake releasing plate between a pair of tape reels and installing a light passing hole, through which the wound quantity of tape can be checked, between the pair of reels. CONSTITUTION:An angular hole 150 is installed to a location between a pair of tape reels 28 and 30 of a flat sliding plate 84 and it is arranged that the lower end part 151 of the angular hole 150 almost coincides with a line connecting the rotating centers of the tape reels 28 and 30 when brake levers 118 and 120 are at locations where brake levers 118 and 120 respectively contact the tape reels 28 and 30. Moreover, it is also arranged that the upper end surface 152 of the hole 150 almost coincides with the line connecting the rotating centers of the tape reels 28 and 30 when the flat sliding plate 84 exists at the position above mentioned. When this condition is viewed through the seeing window 18 of a cassette half 22, the wound quantity of a tape can be seen easily because the light of a light source arranged to the back of a tape cassette can pass through the seeing window 19 of a lower cassette half 24, angular hole 150 of the flat sliding plate 84, and the seeing window 18 of the upper cassette half 22.
