Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stimulate saving of power used in an air conditioner to elongate the travelling distance of an electric automobile by determining the power consumption of a motor-driven compressor for air conditioning by means of a power consumption calculating means, and displaying the power consumption on a display means based on the calculated values.

CONSTITUTION: A refrigerating cycle 200 is provided with a motor-driven compressor 201 to supply the high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant compressed in the compressor to an evaporator 207 through an outside heat exchanger 202, an expansion means 206, and to cool the air passing through the evaporator 207. The motor-driven compressor 201 is connected to an air conditioning inverter 402 through a three-phase alternating current feed line 403, and in this case, the current value and voltage value outputted from the inverter 402 are inputted to an air conditioning ECU 300. The ECU 300 calculates the power consumed in air conditioning based on input current and input voltage. Then, the calculated results are displayed on a power consumption display part of a control panel 301 to urge the occupant to perform power saving operation.
