Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the degree of freedoms of a ROM of a semiconductor integrated circuit device formed of a 1-chip microcomputer and to improve the functions of the circuit device by providing an EPROM, an EEPROM as nonvolatile memories. CONSTITUTION:In a semiconductor integrated circuit device having a central processing unit 100, and a nonvolatile memory for storing the program data of the unit 100, dictionary data, etc. on one semiconductor chip 1 to form a microcomputer, first nonvolatile memory (EPROM) 105 for electrically writing information and erasing the written information by irradiation with an ultraviolet ray and a second nonvolatile memory (EEPROM) 107 for electrically writing information and electrically erasing the written information are provided as the nonvolatile memories. For example, the program data, the dictionary data necessitating a large storage capacity are stored in the EPROM, and data varying as a time goes are stored in the EEPROM.
