PURPOSE: To eliminate the noises which are generated in the tracking and focusing drive modes by providing a noise absorbing member in the tracking and focusing drive modes to the rear side of a stopper member which controls the overshift of an objective lens.

CONSTITUTION: A stopper bar 41 touches a stopper plate 44 in accordance with the upward movement of a coil holding barrel 6, and at the same time a magnetic belt 21 of an objective lens 16 abuts on the inside fringe of a center hole 31 of a stopper member 30. This prevents more up/down movements of the lens 16. Then stopper bars 32 and 32' of the member 30 abut on the belt 21 while the lens 16 is moved in the direction rectangular to its optical axis. This prevents mode left/right movements of the lens 16. Furthermore a felt 50 is sticked on the rear sides of stop bars 33 and 33' of the member 30 to absorb the noises due to the noises generated by spiral plate springs 9 and 10 and spring 19 and 20 in the focusing and tracking modes of the lens 16.
