PURPOSE: To simplify and secure fixing and prevent leakage by fitting an eyelet having a flange for covering a hole on an outer of a rod-like object, pulling the rod-like object after inserting a cylinder of the eyelet into the hole, expanding the diameter of the eyelet with a diameter expanding part and holding a periphery of the hole between the expanded part and the flange.

CONSTITUTION: A diameter expanding part 6 is provided at the tip of a pipe 4 having a small diameter, and an eyelet 3 comprising a flange 5 for covering a hole 2 of a pipe 1 having a large diameter and a cylindrical part 7 is fitted on an outer of the pipe 4 and inserted into the hole 2. Here with an upper face of the flange 5 supported and fixed, the pipe 4 is pulled so that the cylindrical part 7 inside the pipe 1 is expanded in diameter by the diameter expanding part 6 to make it larger than the hole 2, and a peripheral part of the hole 2 is interposed and fixed between the flange 5 and an expanded part 8. Therefore fixing is easy and secure while permeation of rain into the fixed part can be prevented.
