Title:
PAPER CUTTER FOR PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5991077
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable to cut a recording paper while preventing a riping up in proximity to a printing part, by a method wherein a paper cutter is provided at a paper-feeding mechanism, and a pawl for the paper cutter is engaged to a driving roller side at the time of cutting.

CONSTITUTION: To cut and take out the recording paper 6 after printing is completed, the recording paper 6 protruded to the exterior is drawn to the operator side, whereby the paper cutter 12 is rotated, and the pawl 14 is engaged to a supporting shaft 5. In this case, since the force of a tension spring 15 is smaller than that of a tension spring 17, a lever 9 is not moved first. Therefore, even when an upward force is exerted on the paper cutter 12, it is fixed by engaging with the shaft 5, so that the paper 6 is cut in a stable condition while preventing a floating-up phenomenon. In addition, since the distance from a cutting position to the printing part is short, a marginal part is small, and waste of the paper is little. To open an upper part of the driving roller 4 for inserting the paper 6, inspecting or other purpose, the lever 9 is pulled up by a knob 18, upon which a shaft fitting point of the spring 17 rides over a supporting shaft 8, so that the lever 9 is maintained in an erected condition, and the pawl 14 does not interfere with the supporting shaft 5 when the lever 9 is rotated.
