Title:
METHOD FOR CONVERTING IMAGE INFORMATION AND IMAGE RECORDING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6111742
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain directly an X-ray photographic film fit for judgment by a single X-ray photographing by reading an image transferred from a silver halide photosensitive layer to an image receiving layer by diffusion transfer and by converting the image into an electric signal.

CONSTITUTION: Light for reading such as laser light is irradiated on a medium 8 under scanning with a polarizer 14, and the density of an image formed on the medium 8 or the fluorescence of the image excited by the light is converted into an electric signal with a photodetector 11 such as a photomultiplier. At this time, the laser light corresponding to the dye image as light for reading image information or the fluorescence is introduced into the photodetector 11 through a light transmitting sheet 10 consisting of bundled fibers. The image information converted into the electric signal is subjected to gradation or frequency processing and outputted onto a film as an image. This method gives higher sensitivity than a conventional screen film system and extends the width of X-ray exposure, so this method is very practical.
