PURPOSE: To shorten a processing time necessary for forming an image and to form a good image without causing peeling of a photosensitive resin layer during development and reduction of the image by using an amorphous metal for a thin metallic film to be formed on a support.
CONSTITUTION: A thin metallic film is formed on a support by using an amorphous metal, such as Co-P, Ni-P, Ni-B, Fe-P, Ni-Si-B, Ni-Al-B, Fe-P-Si, Fe-P-C, Fe-B-Si, Fe-Al-B, Co-Al-B, Co-Si-B, Fe-B, or Al-B. Since such a metallic layer forms a homogeneous solid soln., uniform etching can be executed, and high etchability can be attained by controlling its compsn., and rapid uniform etching can be carried out even with weak acids or alkalis. As a result, peeling of a photosensitive resin layer is prevented and a sharp good image can be obtained.
