Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which in order to detect the breakage of a drill in real time, a light beam (30) only needs to be passed along grooves of bushes (23, 24), however, because the bushes (23, 24) are only pushed into holes formed in a turret (21) through elastic boy O-rings, if the bushes (23, 24) repeat contacting/pressing operations against a substrate, the bushes are gradually rotated, the light beam (30) is blocked, and thereby erroneous detection is made.SOLUTION: A projector (28) and an optical receiver (29) are provided at positions where a light beam (30) passes through grooves of bushes (23, 24) and does not come in contact with a bush switching device (35). A detection unit for controlling the projector (28), processing a signal from the optical receiver (29), and detecting the breakage of a tool is provided. The bushes (23, 24) are attached to the bush switching device (35) through stoppers (21a, 21b) so as not to be rotated. Thereby, erroneous detection due to the blockage of the light beam (30) is prevented.
