PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a jig tool to be used from falling under a car or into a hoistway even when an apparatus such as a speed governor rope is arranged immediately below an object when working on the car.SOLUTION: A jig tool fall prevention device includes: a sheet-like fall prevention part 18 for receiving when a jig tool 11 falls; a gap 20 formed at the fall prevention part 18 so as to sandwich a speed governor rope 7; a fastener 19 for closing the gap 20; a hand hook part 22 which can be wound around the speed governor rope 7, and which is mounted on the fall prevention part 18 in such a manner that one end 22a is not attachable/detachable and the other end 22b is attachable/detachable, respectively; and a suction part 17 for attachably/detachably mounting the fall prevention part 18 between a beam 9 for mounting a speed governor 6 and a handrail 13 on a car 8. Also, it includes an outer side fastener 23 for closing an outer edge of the fall prevention part 18 in an openable manner and making it into a bag shape, so that the fall prevention part can be made into a bag shape by closing the outer side fastener 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
