Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool sheath for hanging from the waist by which the sheath housing a tool can be stably held under any working posture, which an be manufactured at a low cost, and also, of which the attaching/detaching to/from a belt is easy.
SOLUTION: This tool sheath for hanging from the waist comprises a belt holder 1 which is attached to the belt 4 on the waist, and the sheath 3 for holding the tool, which is connected to the belt holder 1 with a joint section 2. The joint section 2 comprises a protruding section 22, a through hole 21, a pair of hinge bearings 23, and a connecting shaft 24. In this case, the protruding section 22 is fixed to the belt holder 1 side, and the lower central section of the protruding section 22 protrudes upward. The through hole 21 is formed at the upper section of the protruding section 22 and is long in the vertical direction. The pair of the hinge bearings 23 are formed at the upper end section 31 of the sheath 3. Both ends of the connecting shaft 24 are supported by the hinge bearings 23. The connecting shaft 24 is passed through the through hole 21, and at the same time, the central section thereof is supported by the protruding section 22. Thus, a constitution wherein the sheath 3 is connected with the belt holder 1 in a rockable state in the lateral direction is presented.
