Title:
TORQUE DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004333442
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve torque detection accuracy and also to improve flexibility in structure setting.

The torque detector comprises a twisting-deformable torsion bar 3, detection counter parts 5 and 7 that change interval according to rotational displacement due to torsion between one side 11 and the other side 13 of the torsion bar 3, and a detection part 9 for detecting torque, according to changes in interval between the detection counter parts 5 and 7. The detection counter parts 5 and 7 are composed of a pair of operative magnetic bodies 15 and 17, facing each other across a gap G which changes interval according to rotational displacement due to distortion between one side 11 and the other side 13 of the torsion bar 3. The detection part 9 comprises a detection coil 35 and detects torque, based on the inductance that changes according to changes in an interval of the gap G, between the operative magnetic bodies 15 and 17 that correspond to the torsion of the torsion bar 3.
