To provide a transfer apparatus whose structure is simplified, and with which color purity of each monocolor of R, G, and B of a transmission type image display device can be improved and superior color reproducibility can be attained, and particularly gray tone can be properly reproduced when transferring the display screen to a photoreceptive recording media, and printed matter with high-quality images transferred thereon can be obtained.
A maximum transmittance in a region where a spectral transmittance curves of color filters of red, green, and blue used in the transmission type image display device, is set smaller than a prescribed value; or a light source is constituted in a region where at least two spectral sensitivities of red, green, and blue of the photoreceptive recording medium overlap each other, so that no light emission peak larger than a prescribed magnitude is present; or the gray tone recorded on the recording medium is controlled by controlling one of or both of light wavelength and light quantity passing through the image display device.
