PURPOSE: To avoid the complicated control and the traffic increase, by directly transferring the control information to a switched radio base station with no intervention of a cotrol station in case a mobile station shifts to a different service zone to be switched to a different radio base station.
CONSTITUTION: In case a mobile station 1 shifts through the service zone to switch the channels, the station 1 receives a channel changeover command and then switches the channels. After this, a control part immediately examines a memory part 116 to transmit the signal indicating a public telephone. This signal is detected by a public telephone discrimination signal detecting part 226' at a newly connected radio base station 2 after a changeover of channels. Then a receiving circuit 224 is set to a working state suited to a public telephone.
