SOLUTION: This transition metal complex is represented by general formula (1) (wherein M is a transition metal in group 4; A is an atom in group 16; R1 and R2 are each H, an alkyl, an aryl or an aralkyl; R3, R4, R5 and R6 are each H, an alkyl, an alkoxy, an aryl, an aryloxy, an aralkyl, an aralkyloxy silyl or amino; X1, X2, R7, R8, R9 and R10 are each H, a halogen, an alkyl, an alkoxy, an aryl, a 6-20C aryloxy which may be substituted, a 7-20C aralkyl which may be substituted and a 7-20C aralkyloxy which may be substituted).
