PURPOSE: To improve a service life by composing a transparent appendage for an aircraft window of an outer glass layer, an inner flexible layer, and a device to heat the appendage, and holding it to be apart from the aircraft window.
CONSTITUTION: An appendage 10 to be installed on the outer side of an aircraft window 12 on an airframe 14 of an aircraft is of a two-layer structure, and an outer glass layer 16 is fixed to an inner layer 18 having flexibility in a laminating method, for example. In this appendage 10, a heating device 20 is assembled for heating the appendage 10 to prevent frost or the like. For example, plural wires 22 are positioned between the glass layer 16 and the inner layer 18, and energization to the wires 22 is controlled by a controller 30 to which a temperature sensor 28 to detect temperature of the appendage is connected. On a surface 36 of the glass layer 16, anti-electrostatic paint 34 is applied, so static electricity accumulated on the surface 36 can be collected, and this static electricity is discharged to the ground 40 such as the airframe 14 of the aircraft through a bus bar from the paint 34.
