Title:
TRAVELING BODY MARK SENSOR, DEVICE FOR DRIVING ROTATING BODY, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005345359
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a traveling body mark sensor which prevents the detection accuracy of a rotation velocity from lowering, because of the mark positional error at a joint section of a mark formed on a rotating body, and to provide a device for driving rotating body, and an imaging apparatus which uses it.

The traveling body mark sensor 50, which reads a plurality of marks 52 arranged on a carrying belt along its traveling direction and generates pulse signals corresponding to traveling speeds of the carrying belt, is equipped with a light-receiving section 53 which generates electrical signal when there is one of the marks 52 present at a prescribed position; a binarization circuit 54 which binarizes a sensor output signal which is output as an analog alternate signal modulated continuously, in response to the motions of the marks 52 accompanying the carrying belt; and a signal amplitude level deciding section 55 which decides whether the amplitude of the analog alternate signal is larger than a prescribed amplitude.
