Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable vari-colored coloring of an indigo-dyed material such as blue jeans to color tones from orange to yellow, green blue, etc., by treating the dyed material with a processing solution containing a bromine-based oxidizing agent and a chlorine-based oxidizing agent.

CONSTITUTION: An indigo-dyed material such as blue jeans is immersed in a processing liquid containing e.g. a bromine-based oxidizing agent and a chlorine-based oxidizing agent preferably at 40-70°C for about 10-45min. The indigo-dyed material can be colored to a color tone ranging from orange to yellow, green or blue and a lightness from white to black.
