A heating/combustion tube 20 is a cylindrical heating/combustion tube 20 which is to be heated for use in the analysis of mercury, and comprises: a sample heating/decomposing section 10 in which a sample S is heated and decomposed; an oxidation section 11 into which a fourth period metal oxide 13, which is an oxide of a metal element in the fourth period on the periodic table, is filled; and a treatment section 12 into which a compound of an alkali metal and/or a compound of an alkali earth metal 14 is filled.
