PURPOSE: To achieve an effective display of relatively small and light goods by producing a turntable at a low cost while an intermittent rotation is performed accurately and smoothly.

CONSTITUTION: As a shaft 4 is rotated, a brake plate 6 and a crank member 15 turn. With the turning of the crank member 15, a piano wire member 10 with one end 10a thereof pivoted on the crank member can not rotate as a lower bend part 13 of the piano wire member abuts a contact surface 5a of a stopper pawl 5 provided protrudingly on a top bard 1b. Therefore, the piano wire member has an intermediate bend part 11 moving in the direction of approaching the crank member within a slit groove of a rotary board 8. A spring part 12 of the piano wire member is compressed so that the rotary board 8 and a table 17 comes to a stop. As this state proceeds, the lower bend part 13 of the piano wire member comes off the contact surface 5a of the stopper pawl 5. Thus, the piano wire member and the rotary board starts rotation at a stroke by a springing force stored in a spring part 12.
