PURPOSE: To enable quick inspection of the inside of a pipe body, by providing a TV camera for direct vision, a TV camera for side vision, a slit light source for side vision and a light source for illumination to perform a direct vision photography and a side vision photography in a proper condition.

CONSTITUTION: When a pressure difference is generated inside a pipe body 11 with a seal cup 22 or 23 as border, a pig runs in the direction of a smaller pressure and a rotary range finger 25 is turned. An image signal for direct vision of the inside of a pipe behind the pig taken with TV cameras 26 and 28 for direct vision is recorded on a VTR 35 through a switching circuit and a controller. When identifying a welding position with a measuring device 24 for inspection, a controller 36 stop the pig after it runs to the position and operates the TV camera 27 for side vision, a slit light source 41 and a lighting device. Thus, a side vision photographing of the input wall of the pipe is performed with TV cameras 27 and 28 for side vision and an image signal thereof is recorded on the VTR 35 passing through a switching circuit.
