Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the side force applied to a plasticizing kneading element or the shaft supporting the same.
SOLUTION: An element 2 has an almost diamond-shaped outer shape and the respective pieces thereof have an outwardly expanded circular arc shape and the whole of the outer periphery thereof is successively demarcated into four parts, that is, first, second, third and fourth outer peripheral parts 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d and the circular arc of the first outer peripheral part 2a becoming the wall surface of a confining part on the downstream side in a raw material flow direction and that of the third outer peripheral part 2C opposed to the first outer peripheral part 2a across the center point O of the element 2 are made larger than the circular arcs of the second and fourth peripheral parts 2b, 2d adjacent to both parts 2a, 2c in circular arc radius. By this constitution, the whole of the outer shape of the element 2 is set to a point-symmetric shape with respect to the center point O of the element 2.
