Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform arbitration and handshaking at the time of data transfer by an arbitration phase that determines a communication device which obtains the right to use a data bus by using two control lines and a transfer phase for data.
SOLUTION: A decoding part 5 presets a trigger timer in a timer 5c and outputs ≥5 trigger signals successively to SND CS in a control part 5d in a control line 1. Consequently, arbitration is started. When HIGH of a signal RCV CS detected on the control line 2 before the trigger timer reaches its set value, it is judged that the request is accepted by a basic control part 6, the arbitration is ended normally, and the right to use the bus is acquired. Then the data transfer phase is entered and while handshaking is performed by control lines 1 and 2, data DATA 0 to 7 are transferred through data lines 1 to 8. Consequently, a communication based upon an asynchronously generated event can be actualized by only the two control lines and the data bus.
