PURPOSE: To enable a frame rate drop to be prevented without causing an increase in power consumption by controlling an oscillator selector means, and avoiding the continuos selection of the same oscillator, when an ultrasonic beam is repeatedly scanned via the selection of a plurality of oscillators from a oscillator group and the shift of selection for a plurality of oscillators.
CONSTITUTION: A control circuit 9 outputs a shift signal SFT, and a frame synchronous signal FRM. An array of ultrasonic oscillators 10 is constituted, for example, with oscillators corresponding to channels ch1 to ch19. An address counter 18 outputs an address signal to channel selection memory 12, every time the signal FRM is inputted and the signal SFT is counted for the period of one frame. The address is reset at every input of the signal RFM, and the channel selection memory 12 outputs a selection signal, according to the reset address. According to the aforesaid construction, an electronic scanning ultrasonic diagnostic device 1 does not select the same oscillator continuously in the repeated scanning with an ultrasonic beam. Consequently, a charge and discharge interval for the same oscillator becomes long, thereby reducing drive power, and eliminating a frame rate drop in displaying an image.
