To provide an ultrasonic type gas meter capable of measuring pulsation, and suppressing increase of current consumption.
In this ultrasonic type gas meter, a flow rate of gas is measured by a sing-around method by using an ultrasonic wave transmitted/received between a first ultrasonic sensor 21 and a second ultrasonic sensor 22 arranged in a gas passage 3. The gas meter is equipped with a counter circuit 26 for measuring an arrival time until an ultrasonic wave generated from one ultrasonic sensor between the first ultrasonic sensor and the second ultrasonic sensor by a driving pulse reaches the other ultrasonic sensor, a sing-around control circuit 25 driven by sending the driving pulse to one ultrasonic sensor in response to reception of the ultrasonic wave by the other ultrasonic sensor, a profile data collection circuit 11 for collecting each arrival time measured by the counter circuit 26 at every time when the ultrasonic wave is received by the other ultrasonic sensor, and a control circuit 10 for profiling a change of the gas flow rate based on a change of collected arrival times.
