The ultrasonic vibration apparatus 1 includes a vibrator 2, a transmission part 4, a connection part 6, and a pressure part 12. The vibrator 2 is a member for exciting ultrasonic vibration. The transmission part 4 is a member for transmitting the vibration of the vibrator 2. The connection part 6 is a member for holding the transmission part 4 and connecting the vibrator 2 to the transmission part 4. The pressure part 12 presses the connection part 6 to the transmission part 4 so that when vibration is excited in the vibrator 2, frictional force generated between the transmission part 4 and the connection part 6 becomes larger than the force generated by the vibration of the vibrator 2 in the vibration direction.
