Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent slipping of a center of a through hole pierced through a scallop spat and a cultivation rope before a wire material for hanging an umbo is passed through.
CONSTITUTION: A drill guide 30, holding a drill 19 which bores a through hole P in a scallop A and a cultivation rope not to contact in the direction of a radius, is made to contact to and press a scallop's umbo to the cultivation rope before the drill begins to pierce the through hole, and, at the same time, to part from the scallop's umbo after a threading mechanism has passed the wire material through the through hole. By this way, the threading mechanism is able to pass the wire material certainly through the through hole, as there is no slippage between the through hole in the scallop's umbo and that in the cultivation rope.
