PURPOSE: To bore an underground hole having differing dia. through continuous excavating processes.
CONSTITUTION: An underground boring machine is composed of a cutter device 2 to excavate the ground G, an excavator body 4 to excavate forward a hole 3 bored by the cutter device 2, and a guide plate 5 to adjust the excavating direction of the excavator body 4. An adjustable guide 6 is furnished on the outside of the guide plate 5, and an expanding/contracting mechanism 7 is furnished on the excavator body 4 to expand and contract the guide plate and adjustable guide 6 individually. With this mechanism 7, the adjustable guide can be located in a specified place on the excavator body, so that it is possible to accomplish an excavation hole having differing dia. through continuous operation using one excavating machine without requiring removing the front and rear guide plates, etc., or replacement of excavating machine.
