To enable efficient inspection by analyzing the uniformity of waveforms of radial and lateral forces of a tire using first and second-order derivatives.
A load is applied by a load wheel 14 on a tire 16 rotated by a drive wheel 18 and lateral and radial forces generated in the tire 16 are measured by a measuring device 22 and the results are inputted into a computer 26. The computer 26 finds a radial waveform and a lateral waveform from a plurality of measurement data to calculate first and second-order derivatives of the waveforms by the calculation of a gradient between two points. The radial and lateral forces of the tire 16 and the derivatives of the waveforms thereof are compared with specifications in original equipment manufacturing(OEM). When the derivative function of a special force is not within the frame work of the OEM specifications or when non-uniformity is detected, the tire 16 involved is removed from a production line.
