Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare an immunosuppressant comprising a plasminogen activator inhibitor as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: This immunosuppressant comprises a plasminogen activator inhibitor having inhibiting actions on the secretion of oxygen radicals (PAI-2) as an active ingredient in an amount of 52-2,250,000 urokinase inhibiting units based on a dose at a time (75kg body weight) and, as necessary, a stabilizer (e.g. albumin or a hydrolyzed and crosslinked gelatin). The drug is useful for treating and preventing a placental rejection crisis and a graft versus host reaction, treating autoimmune diseases, treating and preventing disorders in curing of wounds and bones, preventing and treating complications after hemorrhage of subarachnoid hemorrhage and disorders related to an increase in leucocyte activities, etc. The immunosuppresant is preferably used with an ornithine decarboxylase inhibitor, preferably a transglutaminase (especially a factor XIII).
