PURPOSE: To prepare a vegetable cutter which can slice slender vegetable delicately, and besides can put away those machine parts such as lid, turning disk and the like compactly, by a method wherein, an inlet for throwing-in the vegetable material is provided on a cutter located on the upper part of a cylinder, while a hole through which the shaft of a turning disk can be inserted is provided at the middle of a center push-in disk.
CONSTITUTION: For slicing vegetable, the procedure is that, a turning disk 6 is provided inside a vessel 3, a lid 13 is made to cover upon a container 3, and the turning disk 6 is operated by energiging a motor 1. In the case when a slender material such as a cucumber is to be sliced, a cylinder 15 is lowered to its lower limit, the material is thrown-in through a feed-in part 17 located at the top of the machine, the material thrown-in passes through the cylinder 15, supplied to a turning cutter 5, sliced there and accumulates in the container 3. When a material to be sliced is bulky such as cabbage, the material is once placed upon the turning disk 6, it is covered by the lid 13, wherein the material is sliced by being pressed between the turning disk 6 provided with the cutter 5 and by the pressing-in cylinder 16; in short, the cabbage is pressed and sliced directly by the lid 13 and the turning disk 6, but before that the material is pushed-in through a pressing-in cylinder 16. When the device is finished in use for putting away, its procedure is that the turning disk 6 is placed on an accommodation case 19 with the front face of the turning disk 6 facing downward, the lid 13 is made to cover the whole thing and then the accommodation case 19 is fit to the bottom part of the lid 13 for fitting.
