Abstract:

To control on a display screen which is easily visible, and recognizable quickly and precisely, corresponding to a vehicle speed.

This device is equipped with a GPS receiver for detecting the present position of own vehicle, a guide route setting means for setting a guide route, connecting a starting place to a destination, when the starting place and the destination of own vehicle are inputted; a display means for displaying the guide route on a map on the display screen normally as a display mode; a vehicle speed sensor for detecting the traveling speed of own vehicle; and a display control means for controlling the display information quantity to be displayed by the display means, according to the traveling speed of own vehicle detected by the vehicle speed sensor.
