To achieve a smooth slide of an upper rail with respect to a lower rail in an unlock state; and prevent or suppress abnormal noise occurrence from a mating portion between the upper rail and the lower rail in a lock state.
In the lock state, a protruded portion 56J of a lock lever 56 interferes with the upper rail 14 and presses downward an outer end portion of a lower wall section 14C in a vehicle width direction by an energizing force of a coil spring 58. Therefore, the outer end portions of the lower wall section 14C and a folded section 14F of the upper rail 14 in the vehicle width direction are elastically deformed downward. A slide piece 44 is held by the folded section 14F of the upper rail 14 and a lower wall section 12C of the lower rail 12, thereby eliminating looseness of the upper rail 14 with respect to the lower rail 12.
