To provide an improved vehicle seat for children capable of adjusting the tilt of the seat without requiring to lift a child from the seat when tilting is to be made only through a minimum increase of the expense structural.
The vehicle seat 1 for children is composed of two parts, a seat shell 2 and an insert 3 admitted therein in the movable condition. The insert 3 is in the upright seating position distinguished by a bold line, while a back rest 9 is in alignment approximately with the back rest region 5 of the seat shell 2. When a hand wheel 21 is turned counterclockwise, the seating surface 8 moves ahead within the position indicated by a dash-and-dot line. As the back rest 9 conducts only a counter-pivoting rotation round a rotary shaft bearing 14 within the region of the top edge 11, a transition region 10 between the back rest 9 and the seating surface 8 also moves along a circular path.
