To provide a vessel with which easy and quick loading/unloading operations can be made, capable of utilizing the loading space to a possible maximum.
The vessel has a hull including at least one load carrying facility bounded by at least one loading space 3 as a space 3 provided on a bulkhead deck 4 and having a specified height h, width, and length and a propelling device 5 including at least one steerable thruster unit 8 connected with a driving means 6 by a shaft device 7. In order to establish better access to the bulkhead deck for loading and unloading the vessel, the steerable thruster unit 8 is arranged under the bulkhead deck 4, while the driving means 6 is installed over the loading space 3. The shaft device 7 has a substantially vertically directed shaft section 71 extending from the driving means 6 over the loading space 3 to the steerable thruster unit 8 under the bulkhead deck 4 through the specified height h of the loading space 3.
