PURPOSE: To enable to efficiently ventilate, by a method wherein air blown off from a blower is accompanied by a gas contained in a hold.
CONSTITUTION: Ventilating air fed from a ventilating blower 11 is accelerated through a blow-off port 13, and is blown to the bottom surface of a hold. Then, this air is diffused sideways and fowards in radial manner along the bottom surface, and reaches wall surfaces of the hold, or mutually interfere with an airflow from an adjacent blown-off port while moving upward, and flows out to the exterior of the ship through an exhaust port 12. In this case, concurrently with the blowing-off of air from the port 13, a gas in upper and intermediate layers of the interior of the hold A is accompanyingly attracted by an ejector effect of an intake guide plate 14. In addition, by alternately providing the ventilating blowers 11 having respective blow-off ports 13 and the exhaust ports 12 for ventilation, the drafting range of each of the blowers 11 is accurately defined by the blow-off port 13 of the blower 11 and the exhaust port 12 which are opposed to each other.
