To provide a vibration control device for an automobile capable of conducting centering of a rubber member while achieving a soft spring property with respect to an initial load.
Ring shaped rubber members 18 and 20 are arranged in the upper and lower of an opening part 16 of a vehicle body 14, and stoppers 22 and 24 are arranged in the upper and lower thereof. A sleeve 26 is inserted into a hollow part, and a nut 28 is arranged on a tip of a rod 12 received by the sleeve 26 and fastened along an axial direction. Thus, the rubber members 18 and 20 are held between the stoppers 22 and 24 in a pre-compression state. By inserting the sleeve 26 with respect the upper and lower rubber members 18 and 20 in a press fit condition, the rubber members 18 and 20 are centered with respect to the vehicle body 14 only by restraining an outer periphery of the upper rubber member 18. Thus, a space 34 is secured around an outer periphery of the lower rubber member 20, and the soft spring property with respect to the initial load can be achieved.
